For this project Manuel designed a catalogue on the work of five pioneering Spanish and Hispanic American photographers, which accompanies the exhibition organized by the Cervante’s Institute in conjunction with the International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts PhotoEspaña.
The catalogue is part of the "Five European Views" project. Thanks to it, five young Spanish and Hispanic photographers showed their work in some of the most outstanding international photography festivals. After a first meeting in the framework of PhotoEspaña, with five commissioners of photography festivals.
Olga Sviblova (Fashion & Style in Photography, Moscow), Enrica Viganò (Photo & Photo, Milan), Joanna Studzinska (FotoFestiwal, Lodz), Nina Kassianou (Photosynkyria, Thessaloniki ) And Camilla Brown (PhotoLondon Fair, London) selected Pedro Álvarez, Matías Costa, Juan González, David Jiménez and María Isabel Rueda, respectively. These show their work in each of the photography festivals of these five European cities, in collaboration with the Cervantes Institutes.
For this project Manuel edited the photograph selection and organized the body of work into a catalogue and exhibition order. He also established the sequencing and divided up the sections of the book with spreads featuring quotes from authors and curators.
