AFTER THE RAINBOW / Art Direction and Design
This book presents one of the most important works of Jose Guerrero, a photographer renown internationally for his land scape work. Jose’s photography and though processes are brimming with cultural and sociological details, but also show great respect for the tradition of historical photography.
The book design needed to be an extension of this vision on this project. Its binding, linear rhythm, typography and colour scheme all exude this idea of reinventing the classic and looking at traditional cultural scenes from a new angle. Along all of the book, the pieces of this project interspersed among ideas. In the last section, his work is showcased again, but this time vividly in a global setting.
These photos are data cards that as system allows us to create a new vision of his work as it grows in private and public collections, making the book something the art dealer and museums can use to communicate with his audience.
